Only bad decsion from Dowd on the night, imo, was that Barry didn't get a second yellow for his 'tackle' on Song (or Ramsey, cant remember). But even that wasn't completely straightforward.

There were 2 really shit offside calls though. The RVP header that was given and Micah Richards not being called. Both awful decisions.

That line isn't right, though, YG. The rule is any part of your body that you can legally score with counts as being offside. Robin's upper half is a foot closer to the goal than his feet, so he's just off. Shame because it was a brilliant finish by him.

That's how I saw it. Don't get people saying Robin was clearly onside, because he wasn't.

In real time he looked well off, too. Which also has to be considered. The linesman doesn't get the benefit of a freeze frame and a load of replays. With those benefits, I still I think he was half a yard off.

The Richards one was a farce. If he had scored there Wenger would have rightly blown a gasket. I was seething even though he missed. Just how inept do you have to be to get that one wrong?

RvP was onside when he wanted the pass from Ramsey. Ultimately Ramsey took too long to play it.

I can understand why the linesman couldn't see it, but in that pic RVPs feet and head look in line with the City player to me.

Picture looks premature but it doesn't matter. There's no consensus here, let alone expecting the lino to pick that up in full motion.

it's a generously fat line though isn't it? You could quite easily and legitimately adjust it to make him look offside. You could also pause the freeze frame a fraction of a second later, the ball would still be on Ramsey's foot and he'd look off.

It was a tight call and we cant complain.
