Have no idea why Puyol didnยดt just boot that ball away. Youยดd think that is ok even at Barcelona off your own line.
El Clasico
Iniesta has been crap (not 'off form'), but uselessly crap for a good while now. Looks like Gervinho out there. Nor have I seen Xavi misplace as many passes. This Barca team is way too reliant on Messi, nobody else has stepped up except for maybe Cesc who doesn't fit this fluid formation.
Pep needs to go back to basics. Use the midfield to control the game, and the forwards to put away the chances. Ridiculous that Messi has to do everything game in, game out. I wonder if they finally (FINALLY) are beginning to feel the number of games they've played. It's absurd how none of their stars ever get injured, but they are starting to look seriously jaded.
By the way, Iniesta's been pretty underwheming this season by his high standards
Just seen the goal, what on earth was Puyol thinking?
He wanted to play himself out of the situation.
Funny because it's probably true.
Tello is not good enough for this game. Bring on Cesc.
Tello blasts it over.
Barca need Cesc.
And for all the fapping that Busquets receives, he folds when pressed and not presented with passing options. Arteta would have done better than him today.

Word, the boy's mostly pace. I think Barca are taking this youth thing a bit too far recently.
Alexis!!!
Wow. Briliant from Ronaldo
What a game now! Ronaldo shows up. 1-2 Madrid.
Cronny puts them ahead again
Ronaldo didn't even need to look at the goal as he blasted that ball into the back of the net.
He's rolling around on the sideline now.
Rcovered easily from that stud scraping in the end
Barca's season collapsing?
Still think they'll beat Chelsea at home.
Fabregas - only midfielder at Barca with balls. Xavi would have passed it backwards there, Iniesta would have lost the ball.
Its funny that as soon as cesc moved there they are losing in la liga and struggling in the cl and looking very human and making mistakes, i think they miss villa more than they expected no one scores except messi. They arent as good as when we played them in 09-10 where they just constantly created chances.
It would take some kind of unprecedented disaster for Madrid to lose out on the la Liga title now.
Messi has not scored in two games?
Barcelona were far far from impressive.
Villa and Pedro have both been missed this year. Pedro gives them something different and while Sanchex has a decent season, I don't think he is as good for them.
Poor Cesc. Joined Bartha at the wrong time, it seems. Bar Messi, everyone has been much worse.
Madrid have it in them to win back-to-back titles, I reckon (if Mourinho stays on).
So can Barcelona recover in time for Tuesday?
Barca have clearly deteriorated this season, Madrid were even not good.
Barca should move Cesc into centre mid and rebuild a new team.
Xavi's body can't handle 50+ games a season anymore.
So the greatest team in the known universe lose again.
Fabregas is a jinx!

He might start to believe that himself if they end the season trophyless.
Not quite what he dreamt of I'm sure
Fabregas and Nasri could both end the season empty handed.
Poor guys.
Just like they never left.
I want us to finish 3rd, Spuds 4th, Chelsea 5th, let them celebrate for a week and then Chelsea win the CL to snatch their place.
OR
Us 3rd
Toon 4th
Chelsea 5th
Scum 6th
Bayern to win the CL

This sounds far better. No way do I want Cashley to win the CL.

Could being the major word.
We're out of everything already, having not seriously challenged for any trophy at all.
Cheers for pointing that out Tone, what would I do without you?

That Cristiano goal brought me great joy. Those arrogant nitwits have been defeated. Now we can put that greatest team ever nonsense to bed. Hope John Terry knocks them out (amd then goes on to sky a penalty in the final at the Allianz).
Barcelona have become victims of their own vanity. Stupid formations and selections, and a number of their players have regressed.
Still on for back to back Champions Leagues, mind.
They can't win everything every year. All teams go through dips and rises. But over the course of 8 years Barca have won trophy after trophy after trophy.
Do you bet against Barca next season?
A dip for teams like Barca, Madrid and United is like coming second in the league.

Yeah it does Kid, I don't want his or Gruppenfuhrer Terry's racist paws on it.
I think from a tactical point of view that was Pep's worst game as Barca manager. Why keep that poor mans Overmars Telo on for so long? Sanchez and Cesc should have come on a lot sooner. Unless they had one eye on Tue, maybe that really is their 'el clasico' for this season.
But you got to take your hat off to Mourinho. He is prob going to win the league against one of the greatest club sides of all time. Even when Real had a minor blip a few weeks ago they showed character and resolve and recovered.
And there is no way I want Chelsea to win the champions league. I rather Chelsea finish 3rd, us finish 4th and them not winning CL than us finishing 3rd, them 5th and winning the CL. We HAVE to be the first London club to win it, no question about it.
However, Chelsea have quite a healthy chance on Tue, Barca looked tired and so does Messi. If they really are the greatest side of all time they will win though.
