20m Euro is a fair price for Podolslki. And even more palatable given our Champs League draw. That 3 week period of the AC Milan game will be are undoing if we don't strengthen. We also have to beat Spurs in that period or they could prove that the power has truly shifted in North London. Podolslki, please!

😆

Unfortunately, if they beat us again and are still ahead of us in the league, that's what it will look and feel like. We'd all be inconsolable

Getting ahead of yourself, Cali. If Spurs qualify for Champions League again it will be their biggest achievement in modern times. If we finish 5th it will count as disaster. That example alone should illustrate how big the difference is between the two clubs.

Not that they will finish ahead of us though.

Arsenal are the biggest and best team in London bar none. A couple of shitty seasons will not change that.

Wenger has ruled out signing this bloke anyway.

Wenger rules out signing everybody.

He didn´t really rule him out. The way I want to interpret it anyway.

Doesn't matter what he says. He ruled out selling Nasri and Cesc just like he ruled out signing Arshavin and Arteta.

As it stands I get the sense that we're definitely interested and could negotiate a decent fee with Koln.

As it stands, if Podolski wants about 70k a week and is available for about £10million I'd say we're interested. Otherwise I cant see it.

Watching him against 10-man Bayern. Koln are awful.

How is Poldi´s performance?

Bayern played with 10 men for the majority of the game and I don't think Koln created a single chance. They were awful. A man up, and they set up like Fulham did at the Emirates.

It wouldn't be fair to judge Podolski on that performance, I ended up thinking that it's a miracle he manages to score any goals in a team like that.

That match is basically the equivalent of ManU at old Trafford versus Wolves to put it in perspective. Didn't watch but I recorded it so may catch it over the weekend if I can be bothered.

This would be one of the most logical signings Wenger could ever make.

he does seem like good cover for gervinho and would replace arshavin when he leaves in the summer. it all depends on whether wenger thinks he could find a better player for less elsewhere. i'm not sure such players will exist in the january window.

is koln even willing to sell in january? are they in danger of relegation? would they be interested in denilson, even if just on loan for the rest of the season?

Europe's top 5 leagues top scorers so far: Ronaldo 20, Messi 17, Gomez/van Persie 16, Huntelaar 15, Podolski 14.

This is a pipe dream, nothing more. The European championship his in the summer why would he move know, he could jeopardize his place in the German squad. The best players don't move in January unless your willing to fork over a ransom to get a player.

I willing to bet we get him in the Summer

Podolski is not at any risk at all of missing out on the Euros even if he were to spend January through May on the bench somewhere. He actually sort of tried that at Bayern years ago and still produced for Germany...
