Or a playmaker?

Capi, goals and assists they were coming off pretty similar seasons, but using my eyes I´d have Podolski over Gervinho any day of the week last summer.

AM playmaker that can be deployed out wide.. Gotze basically, if its true about Podolski hope him & mert convince Gotze during the euros.

I'd want a target man and a playmaker who can also play wide. A Diaby replacement would be nice too and i think we'd be sorted.

I started watching Lille because of Hazard of course. It didn´t take too long though to realize that Gervinho is ALWAYS going to be a frustrating player. I sort of think that with Walcott already in our squad, our quota for frustrating players was already full.

IMO we have the 2 most frustrating players in the league now in Walnut and Gervais. 🙂

I don´t think he is frustrating. On the pitch at least. Talks too much off it though. 🙂

Until this season, he was as flakey as they come. Arshavin levels of frustration.

I would have bought him in the summer but it would have been risky and on the assumption that Wenger could get significant improvement out of him. I like Podolski alot but he has many issues.

If we sign Podolski I'll be hppier about a decent back up for RVP rather than wide because I think he's pretty similar to Theo and Gervinho there in terms of ability and application.

He's a much more to robust all-round player than either Theo or Gervinho. Doesn't have anything like the same natural gifts, but for my money he's a he'll of a lot more rounded.

He has the same consistency problems, or at least he did until recently. Hopefully if we're signing him he's sorted them out now.
