I truly believe we will sign Podolski.
I've had that feeling for ages.
I also believed Shava would go (though I thought it would be in January and permanent) so I'm trusting my instincts on this.

Article seems speculative at best and Bild is pretty much the Sun if I'm remembering correctly.

Pretty much all papers have been running with the Podolski to Arsenal story at one time or another since December.
He's done very little himself to really discourage speculation.

I felt we were going to sign him in Janurary as well because the speculation was quite strong at the time and he fit the bill for the type of wide forward we were looking for. But then he said he didn't want to do anything to hamper his form going into the Euros so the line suddenly went dead.

Has he still been playing well for Koln?

May also be a peace offering to encourage van Persie to sign because I'm pretty sure the club want his signature on the contract before he goes off to the Euros

I think he's been out injured since the end of January.
He was due back around now.

His name carries weight as far as a signing to convince other players we mean business. Not quite in the aguero league but a sign of intent nonetheless
