Emmanuel Adebayor has been told by Manchester City that he wil not be given a pay off to leave the club and finally seal a move to Tottenham.

The striker is currently in negotiations over a move to White Hart Lane after the two clubs agreed a £5m move.

But the striker is still in talks with Spurs after his refusal to accept a cut to his current £175,000-a-week wages, which were part subsidised by City last season.

Adebayor is such a loon.
Apparently to make up for that shortfall in wages he's requested that City give him a chunk of the paltry £5m that they are being paid to be rid of him.

Bet he'll cause ructions once he's a fully signed up Spurs player.

I am guessing he is looking at something like a 50 percent paycut if he joins Spurs. Why on earth would he do that?! It really isn't in his interest besides, you know, to actually get a game here and there.

Adebayor loves no club. Playing football is his profession. No way I'd take the kind if paycut he is looking at if he is joining Spurs just so I could play a game every weekend.

The way I see it, the ball is well and truly in Man City's court. I don't think I would have acted any different from Adebayor in this situation.

Exactly, all this is Man City's making, it's fun buying up everyone's players for enormous sums and distorting the market, but then have the nerve to boo hoo when the market bites back- fuck them. 😆

nope, we would have just played more sideways/backwards passes in the flanks. Clichy would have been useful last season with our injuries but long term he wouldnt have made much if any difference (the fact he constantly got skimmed in the big games and against skillful players always was a worry, he became to nani what senderos had become for drogba).
