AVB didn't do himself any favours either, things like his treatment towards Anelka and Alex who were leaving anyway and Lukaku + Kalou who were treated quite badly because they weren't central to his plans. No decent manager behaves like that.

He was absolute dog poo at Chelsea, no two ways about it. It was a tough job, but he came with a big reputation and was tipped by many to do very well. Jury is definitely out on him, and given the fact that 'Arry was sacked after finishing 4th, 5th, 4th I'm not sure how he can extract any more out of that squad with their resources.

Yeah, I agree. Can't say anything about him yet, even if he wrecks Tottenham (here's hoping!) he's still got plenty of time ahead of him to turn his own career around.

I reckon Harry was sacked because he would have dropped Spurs for England anyway. I think that pissed off Levy. Especially as around the time the FA were looking for a manager Spurs' form dropped dramatically. On top of that he was old(er) so they were good to look for a new manager.

Without having read a single word of this rumor elsewhere, may I just point out that it isn't likely that it is the COUNTRY Qatar which is interested in purchasing Tottenham but PERSONS with Qatari origin. Thus there really wouldn't be any more conflict than several Englishmen being owners of different English clubs.

The Qatari investment fund or whatever its called basically is the country Qatar and they seem to be the only ones as far as I know buying stuff up around the world.

Qatar investment authority is Qatar government surplus money, it isn't an individual billionaire, hence the same company wants shares in tottenham. So it isn't anything like several different Englishmen buying shares.
