Just got back. Slightly disappointed with the result, but the positives from the match overshadow that disappointment.
Was really impressed with the young boys that played. Miquel was very good at left back, read the game exceptionally all night. Can now see what Wenger sees in him. Frimpong was excellent - gave de Jong a really tough evening, I'd say he won the battle pretty comfortably in the end. Coquelin was also excellent, a good all-round performance - good passing, tackling, smart in everything he did. Chamberlain was a real live wire, too, and embarrassed Zabaleta (and others) on numerous occasions.
Koscielny was also absolutely outstanding. Easily my MOTM. He has a completely different aura around him when you see him live now. Very domineering and confident.
No one played poorly, though, and I was very plased with the fight, effort and hard work we put it in. And for long spells of the match, I was pleased with the football we played, too.
The atmosphere was brilliant tonight, stood up the whole second half in The Clock End - very rare! City fans were embarrassingly quiet. Pathetic actually. I was right next to them and I was expecting a lot more from them.
All in all, a great night over at the Emirates with a slightly disappointing ending.
