Let's start with a striker just capable of scoring a goal? Or even just someone capable of striking the ball. That alone would be an improvement. 🙂

Chamakh makes me angry. Park makes me exasperated.

The OX, Frimpong and Coquelin are exciting and should be getting more chances on the bench.

The Ox reminds me a bit of Wayne Rooney. Maybe it's just the build, but he does seem to have similar levels of quality at the same age. A real handful

To be fair Nela you had good time for Bendtner and he wasn't a whole lot better, as he's proving yet again at Sunderland.
Park hasn't had a fraction of the chances that Bendtner was given.
I'm not saying that I'm fully confident that he can improve or step up a gear but I think it's too early to write him off.

You buy a forward who can play both through the middle and on the wing. When RVP is available you rotate him on the wing with our other options. Not too difficult...

coquelin is the one. looked the part even when we got buried at OT, was my MOM against Spurs, and looked composed again here. looks like he's got more strings to his bow than being an out and out dm as well.

He does play a lot like Rooney. He is game is all about technique and power. But I dare say he has a few tricks up his sleeve whereas you don't tend to see Rooney trying to take 4 players on.

I think I know why Wenger is holding back on Oxlade. He doesn't feel he has the stamina to last the pace and he doesn't offer as much protection to the fullback as Gervinho and Walcott do. Even with that in mind, I don't know why he isn't named on the bench as someone who can make a difference with a quick 20 minute burst.

How good were Frimpong and Coquelin? Overall the team did us proud tonight. While it's no point pretending it was a David vs. Goliath battle, it was a tough game and I thought we edged it. Very unlucky to lose.

it's rare for him to drop a bollock with strikers, especially those who he's spent good money on. only franny jeffers springs to mind (possibly wiltord, but i wouldn't agree).

jeffers and chamakh seem to represent the rare occasion of wenger trying to buy a concept striker ie. fox-in-the-box/aerial threat, and overlooking the complete technical package of the player
