I think he might do well for them to be honest. Vargas is one of the best crossers in Europe.

Speaking of Fiorentina, I'd love to relieve them of Jovetic and that Ljajić kid.

Sky sports news reporting we're after kalou and abidal. Deciding whether to move or kalou now or get him on a free in the summer. Personally I like kalou but wold only want him as a squad option

Abidal would be an epic signing given our situation

Abidal is out of contract at the end of the season but hes said he wants to extend that with barca but similar to the Gallas situation we had Abidal doesn't want to take a pay cut.
Hes 32 so im sure we'll have problems negotiating the length of his contract maybe wenger might offer him a 18 month contract.

Id be pretty delighted with Abidal and Kalou. They wouldn't be typical wenger signings but very much in line with the signings we made on deadline day.

Abidal would be good but Kalou would be more of the same but slightly better in front of goal. Just as brainless though.

Abidal would be great, how's he getting on at Barcelona?

Would take Kalou if we need squad players because he's consistently scored double figures but we've got enough like him.

edit 2: if Kalou is coming here to play as a striker instead of Chamakh and not a wide forward, I'd be more than happy to have him.

Abidal's last two seasons in Spain have been terrific. He seems to actually get better by age. I don't think he wants to sign for us though. He'll probably go somewhere where he'll play regular football instead. I doubt he'll get it here.

I would take Kalou for a few million. Good squad player to have.

I'd definitely rather Kalou than Chamakh but it still leaves the wide positions as a problem. Also if we signed him there'd be less games for a prospective wide player and the ability to attract a very high quality, versatile winger/forward is reduced. Not that's likely to really happen anyway.

Kalou on form is roughly a Podolski level player and he is good from the bench. The price/wage discrepancy will be huge in Wenger's eyes.

Kalou would have been a good signing when he moved from Feyenoord. One of the most talented players I've ever seen in the Dutch league. Unfortunately the manager charged with his development was Mourinho, and we all know what happens then.

Right now I'd certainly take Abidal and Kalou. We could then move for major heavyweight targets in the summer.

Did well that year and thought he did very well under Hiddink as well.
