Burnwinter What a glorious blast from the past. Arseweb used to be the only place I knew digitally for Arsenal news outside of Arsenal.com.

Burnwinter used to read it all the time back in the days when I only had ceefax, soccernet.com, planetfootball.com, the old Arsenal.com forum and A-M. It's looked how it's looked since I've known it from back in 2001 or so.

Burnwinter absolutely remember arseweb. I remember making my own low(er) rent version on geocities as a little project in middle school

arseweb, newsnow, bbc football forums and SBS football forums (only Aussies would know that) constituted my early online arsenal milieu

oh and Myles palmer, because I didn't know any better at the time. his blogging style back then fit the 'I need an attention-seeking hot take for everything' society we live in now. he still has archives of his arsenalnewreview posts from the 2000s: https://arsenalnewsreview.co.uk/author/myles/page/679/

Burnwinter I actually contacted him when I was in college and offered to help him with the pages design as it was getting a bit old looking. He didn't take up my offer. :

I used to check it first thing when I got to my computer every day in college and then the same in work for years until he stopped and switched to Arseblog. I can actually remember reading about us signing a kid from Barcelona called Cesc Fabregas on there.

Don Pacifico for real, not having the ability to watch every game those days forced me to have to rely on radio 5live and ceefax. Was the best of times and the worst of times haha.

Meanwhile I just find out today from some colleagues who grew up in South East Asia, that they had every United, Arsenal and Liverpool game live on their satellite tv. PL, FA Cup, League Cup, Europe, all available every game, meanwhile in the UK we're lucky to get 2 games live a month haha.

Big Willie Yeah, mad really - like you, I remember relying on a combo of Ceefax, 5Live and MOTD (we didn't have Sky at home). Wasn't until I got introduced to the joys of streaming that I started to access more live games (anyone remember Iraq Goals...no idea if that's still going...?).
