Well if he was pissed about it he wouldnt show it to the media, thats for sure. Anyway reaching the final isnt the same as winning it as we know in 06 and 11.

I don't think he bottles it. I just don't think he's as good as a lot of people think he is - so naturally his likelihood of making an impact in a tough game is lessened.

You could safely say that Barca are an excellent team based on the effort it took to beat them.
Given that the only way to win against them involved tactics that meant effectively just camping and defending, in and around their own box, whilst amassing one red card and four suspensions.

I can't bear them, I rarely watch them, I don't like the myths and the hoopla that surrounds them but I think it's stretching things way to far to say that they are anything other than a great team.
They might be past their prime though, there are obvious signs that as they currently stand they are not the force they were last season.

Equally valid and, for my part, I always maintained that Cesc needs to be part of a winning machine rather than it's engine room.

I do still think he is a big game bottler though.

Our run to the 06 final playing a highly pragmatic 4-5-Henry with some brilliant defensive displays was the best I've ever seen tactically from Wenger, I- like everyone assumed it was only a matter of time before he got it spot on.
But the Fabregas project ruined everything, as soon as he tried to get us to ape those Barcelona cunts while spending like Bolton, to try to play a style so alien to the English game that it was doomed from the start......

He was an intelligent man so I thought he might see the error and adapt, but he's too old and arrogant and rigid- He's finished.

I watched the game in a pub. The place was filled with fans of different teams. All the neutrals to a man supported Chelsea. Even people I know can't stand them were rooting for the Londoners. I was shocked because I had always been led to believe that Barca were the people's team. I think people are sick of the constant Barca hype and the cheating from Biscuits, Alves and especially that c&nt Sanchez. And everyone is tired of the unfair refereeing.

I hope Ronaldo makes it through tomorrow and wraps up his Balon d'Or in Munich.

I do think that given our current goal scoring issues he's taking defence more seriously these days , which is not to say that we no longer have problems in defence.

Lol @ cuckold. Today is a great day for football. All this greatest team of all time nonsense will end today. And Cesc. He can enjoy his world club cup and maybe a king's cup. Screw him. He'll win more trophies than RVP and co in the next 5 years but it's good to see him miss out on the big ones.

It's the attempt to include lies and falsehoods and subjective views on the aesthetics of football that I can't stand.
The best team is the one that wins the games and trophies, if that team is Barcelona or Spain- so be it.

Three things annoy me with Barcelona
1) all the nonsense about purity that they and their fans spew when they are just another financially doped institution like Madrid, etc
2) their soporific, pass-pass football
3) most of all, the way they disrespected us for 18 months over the Fabregas transfer. Everyday, without fail, Xavi or a designated replacement was in the paper going on about how we were borrowing Fabregas. It was the most blatant example of tapping up I have ever seen, yet UEFA chose to turn a blind eye.
Today is a happy day. Feels as good as a big Spurs defeat.
