Tim: Cheers. Like I said, I've only caught quick glimpses. Whoever was in goal for them fucked up badly though. It was a run of the mill finish from Gomez that any keeper worth his salt would've at least tipped out to a corner.

Its their 3rd choice keeper Klaus. He hasn't played for years.

Their 2nd choice keeper made a fumble at the weekend and wasn't mentally fit to start

What a shit match. I thought I was watching Barnet - Scunthorpe for a moment there. Never seen so many misplaced passes and crap first touches in a CL knockout match with 2 elite sides.

Oh, and 😆 at Marseille. They've been so crap this year. Loving it.

This game needs 2005-6 vintage Ronaldinho.

You could be forgiven for thinking that, based on this game, Barca have lost that edge that put them on another level.

I think Allegri's one big weakness as a manager has been glaringly obvious tonight, by the way. He loves physical players a little bit too much. If he'd kept Pirlo last summer he would've had someone who could find Ibrahimovic more often with a throughball or on the break. It's weird cause he strikes me as an excellent tactician otherwise. Maybe it's an experience thing. I didn't realise that he's only 44 years old.

I think Milan will take a goalless draw.

Cassano would have given Milan something like that, Klaus. They've missed him.

Disappointed.

I have barely seen Barca this season and I get this limp performance.

Wanna see a Messi cracker.

Abbiati has improved so much

Tim: Definitely, but Robinho has taken over some of his responsibilities (with mixed results). I still think they lack someone who can organise things deeper down the field.

It's more or less the conclusion I come to everytime I watch Barcelona, even when they're roastings someone 4-0.

Great result for Milan. Snatch a goal in Barcelona and the pressure is on big time.

If Milan go through I can see Chelsea winning the CL.

There is something almost muted about the way they play at times.
Controlled, metronomic, ordered and deadly as it may be they lack zing.
Messi is from another planet though.

That's Barca for you. It helped that Messi seemed off. I don't think there is a defense that can plan to stop him. I expect 3-0 in Barcelona, but this is a good result for Milan.

not sure why so many Arsenal fans do not like Arjen Robben. what an effective wide forward. i rate him above Iniesta

Well, Iniesta isn't a wide forward, so...
