That nebulous General football thread saddens and confuses me, the CL deserves it's own thread

I haven't seen anyone give as resolute a performance at the Nou Camp than Milan today. Nesta and Thiago are one of the best defensive duos around atm. And Pato's early goal made a joke out of Bartha's fabled high press.

Will be interested to see how city get on. Have a feeling they're going to reach at least the semis this season

Can´t believe Barcelona are playing with two DMs at CB. Had Pato not been so poor with his first touch on a couple of occasions he would have ended up with a hattrick.

Very good scoreless first half between Man City and Napoli. City with the bulk of the possession and Silva involved in pretty much everything meaningful they create. Napoli are leathal on the counter though with Hamsik, Cavani and Lavezzi. Wouldn´t mind any of those three here tbh.

napoli is a very good side. city might have been slightly better tonight, but i don't think the result was unfair.

Only saw the highlights of the City game.

Pin point perfect free kick from Kolarov for the equaliser.
Smashing quick counter attack for Cavani's goal - I really love seeing goals scored like that.
The minute Maggio grabbed the ball and set off - just new they were going to bury it.

United were dull, rocky at the back. Benefica could easily have won it.

Napoli were excellent. Totally deserved a draw. Man City had 2 off the crossbar, but Napoli had 1 off the crossbar and a shot blocked by Kompany on the goal line.

I reckon a team like Napoli has at least 5 players that would improve us. Depressing.

Napoli - Citeh was such an enjoyable game. 2 goals, 3 shots off the woodwork, and two teams that just went at each other for 90 minutes. Napoli's front 3 were impressive as always, but Gargano put in a massive shift today. He and the other midfielders managed to stifle the creativity of Silva and Nasri.

For Citeh, Aguero, Kolarov and Zabeletta all looked useful. The United game was drab in contrast.

He did end the game with a bloody ankle so there must be something in it, probably not for the reasons he suggested though.

Definitely not handsome.
Referees probably just get fed up of his over the top reactions to any kind of contact, though he does get a right good kicking in most games he plays.
