I think people need to see more of Thiago, Kel. He is under-appreciated on this forum, probably because of Barca hate. Of course, Barca will not sell him given his quality and their preferene for 7 midfielders. He is superb.

Thiago is awesome - he's another who is better than Gotze. I know its fashionable to like these Dortmund lads but come ooooooon, look at the footy they play

he's not proven. by a long shot, but the technique, balance and vision/anticipation is out of this world. some of the stuff he pulls off is ridiculous.

I think Ganso is overrated. Chucked into that Brazil team far too early.

Thiago is the best of that list imo.

Looking ahead Id say these youngsters will reach the levels of these players. Not in style necessarily but impact/influence

And Kel, I agree mate. Hagi was fucking awesome especially in those couple of years in the CL/Uefa Cup for Gala. If Shaqiri can reach half that level of technique, vision and shooting ability then he'd be one hell of a player.

Ortega had bags of talent. More than gotze that's for sure. I think the kraut will have a better mindset tho and so will end up on a similar level

Ortega was one of the most talented players I'd ever seen but the way he failed to live up to even half his hype was one of the biggest let downs ever. If Goetze is as talented as Ortega he'd be a great player but I though the comparison was more along the lines of impact/influence (which he had next to nothing compared to what he should have been producing) rather than actual ability (which was out of this world).

Gotze is already better than Ortega ever was and Shaqiri will have done very well to have anybody talking about him while he is playing let alone 10 years later.

i must rate hagi higher than you. he is easily one of the best players in the last 20-30 years for me. him and stoichkov were amazing back in the 90s. underrated both of them.

Probably. I felt hristo stoichkov was a notch above hagi.

I kinda saw stoichkov at baggio's level whereas I viewed hagi at figo type level if that makes sense
