Magic?

I'm not laughing at what you said, I'm laughing at how you change your tune when it comes to non-arsenal players. It's like the opposite of Ricky.

Yes.

lol. which non-Arsenal player? i've been hot about Thiago for the last 6 months now. did i underrate him at some point? if so, i take that back.

In the Chamberlain thread you said that he has talent but you can't judge him against U21 opposition (more or less). In this thread you are judging a guy as better than several players who have absolutely ripped their respective leagues to shreds because of his performances at U21 level. :hmm:

Thanks for pointing that out. However, after watching him in two games and seeining his impact, I was happy with where Ox-Cham is right now in his career. Yesterday, I did say:

I'm taking a wait-and-see approach with this kid, but from the two England U-21 games I watched, I see a kid who is superior to Walcott in his ball control and decision-making. He just looks like a footballer. I expect he will probably be able to contribute effectively and consistently before Walcott, but I'm in no rush and not building him up to be a worldbeater in my mind

There are one or two on my list that are more talented than Wilshere, imo, but he is the most complete. Hard to believe he's still just 19.

Eriksen is an absolute genius, and is the player that most excites me, jack aside.

I have not seen any young player bar Cesc may be show the level of maturity Wilshere did last year, it belied his age.

Wilshere is an amazing talent who i thought played within himself because of the position he was asked to play in, a lot more to come from him.

Have to be honest, I'm not completely convinced by Gotze. I think he's an extremely gifted technical footballer, and he seems pretty selfless, which I like, but I'm not sure he's quite the potential superstar he's made out to be. Think he'll grow in to a fine player, but not a world beater.

That said, he seems like the type that will adapt to his surroundings quite well and improve by playing with better players. We'll see I guess, but he wouldn't be top of my list of current young playmakers.

I can't wait to get a good look at him tomorrow night. Along with Subotic, Hummels, Schmelzer, Bender and Kagawa. Only player of theirs whose game I know well is Lucas Barrios, watched a lot of him at the World Cup, and I gather he's injured.

You should get ESPN. £4£ it's better than Skysports in my opinion.

Will sort it all out soon as I'm about to move house, would be nice to be able to watch a bit of the Bundesliga.

Shaqiri. Not as much talent as many of the rest, but looks like he's going to have the physical attributes as well to be a monster.

WE got ESPN free with Sky Sports this year.

Anyway get yourselves on live online footy if you want to watch loads of footy. Its £7 for 2 months and has pretty much everything, including quality streams of our games.

They're both brilliant. Goetze's technique is better, but Jack is probably the better all-round footballer. Hopefully Jack will show he can be as dangerous and decisive in the final third when he gets moved further forward. Christian Eriksen is very similar in style to them both too, might even be better - blew me away the first time I saw him play.

Wilshere is a cut above the other talents in his age bracket, from what I've seen.

The real test for Wilshere will be seeing if he can lift this team when he returns. Previously, he had the advantage of regularly playing the 3rd midfielder role where you are responsible for a bit of attack and a bit of offense but not expected to dominate at either end of the field. His forte was in distribution in the middle of the park and retaining possession.

What this club now needs is a playmaker. I wouldn't be surprised if he finds it as hard as Gotze or Kagawa did today to constantly make clear-cut chances. We know Wilshere can make long range passes a la Alonso, but will he be able to consistently put through the type of pass Walcott served up for van Persie in and around the box. I have not seen enough proof yet

He's not a cut above thiago and gotze.

I don't think Hazard belongs on this list, he's a different type of player. He can pass expertly, better than some of the players on the list who are purely passers, but his speed and ability to carry the ball make him a different kind of player. Has the biggest goalscoring potential by far, I think, too.
