Yeah but thats Sky, they were still reporting that Joe Cole was in Birmingham negotiating with Villa earlier when the deal with Lille had been confirmed on Liverpools website.

Apparently we agreed a fee with Everton over Arteta but we couldn't agree personal terms. Not only are we going for a meh crock midfielder, we can't even agree terms with him.

Livid. Another fucking reject confirming (a) how poorly planned and panicked our purchases have been and (b) what a small-time club joke we are. It's not even as if Arteta is the 'super-quality' Wenger claims will be the only thing to force his hand.

None of our signings are 'super-quality' and even though I'm glad with numbers, there is no question that this has been a very poorly managed window.
