He's none of those things. Don't think you could be more wrong about him.

I'm not talking about him as a direct replacement for Fabregas positionally wise. Think of him instead as one of three central midfielders who understands the value of good, quick passing. I think this team need a Banega or a Khedira rather than someone like M'Vila.
I disagree strongly, I've seen plenty of Banega over the last few seasons and I would call him slow, I would call him weak and I would call him poor defensively.
And Khedira is not a good passer of the ball, no way, no how.
Anyway, if we could sign Schweinsteiger I'd be all for it - someone who is quick, strong, athletic, but also outstanding technically - but that ain't happening. And we have Wilshere and Ramsey who in my opinion are in that same mould. So for me the way to go is to get someone like M'Vila, who looks a good, quick passer of the ball, strong, quick, athletic and positionally sound - we edge that way, towards the physical, rather than towards someone like Banega, who is a fabulous passer of the ball, technically gifted, but not on the same level physically as a M'Vila, or even a Wilshere, Ramsey or Schweinsteiger.
That's how I see the team and system evolving, back to the future so to speak.
