If someone really top, top class comes up… I do not need to buy an average midfielder," said Wenger. "If someone top, top class turns up, completely defensive, we will consider it.
He's got to come here hasn't he?
no
I think we would've secured him already if that was the case. I doubt we've ever been seriously interested in him.
Thing is, these French teams see us as a cash cow to some extent due to our relative profitability. Think Ben-Arfa who was quoted much higher to us than he was eventually sold to the Maggies or any one of their other signings for that matter.
my guess is wenger was put off by his attitude. think he's learned the hard way that he needs to bring in serious, mature professionals and not chavvy dumbasses.
BBC reporting that Spurs have bid finally. Presumably they've been waiting for the Modric cash.
We are seriously not on his case anymore. We would have signed him if we wanted to.
Could just as easily be Rennes trying to make us firm up our interest, or maybe even up our bid. Who knows what's really going on. After the Sahin back and fourth, I've stopped trying to guess.
Let him go to Spurs. A midfield duo of any of Parker, Sandro and M'Vila is going to be very blunt. Not really a fan of Sig either. That would leave the creation of chances to the very eratic trio of Bale, Lennon and Adebayor. Not worried.
Don't mean to bump this arbitrarily but the rumours about us having second thoughts about this transfer because of the player's behaviour may well be true after all.
Rennes may snub disgraced duo for whole season

They went to a night club three days before their next game? And, as a consequence, their club is suspending them indefinitely?
They might have had a curfew which they broke. Also, I read somewhere it was a day before the match that they drove to Paris to get into the club.
It doesn't make any sense for the coach to be so furious if its three days before.

Yeah, read that after I posted the link.
Thank fuck they don't have to worry about Balotelli. 😆
😆
Well, we weren't really in for him in the first place, so...
must suck to be him. He should come here where you'd only get into trouble if you kicked a water bottle.

Asa will be pleased.
The picture is strangely hypnotic.
