Disagree completely - the attack and the defence are very closely linked to each other. Yes, there are some glaring fundamentals that are wrong with this team defensively that are unrelated to our attacking issues, but personally I think one of the reasons we see our 'defensive' players pushing up so often is that the likes of Ramsey, Arteta, Gervinho, Walcott & Rosicky are so generally shit at breaking a defence down.
M'Vila will only make us worse in that regard (assuming he replaces Song) - and solidifying he might do of the defence will be offset with us being even more useless at gaining the goals we need to actually win. The way some are talking about him it's as if he's a cross between Wilshere, Makelele and Gilberto - he's nothing like that. Don't particularly rate him, and yet again we're wasting money on the wrong players because of Wenger's bias towards Ligue 1.
