Only said that´s why Cesc won´t be regarded as a legend. Wenger raised the bar. After that only players who help us to major trophies will be in the running of ever reaching legend status here IMO. Except for Eboue. He is a proper legend in his own special way...
Cesc won't be regarded as a legend for many things and lack of silverware isn't one of them.
Aaaand you are wrong again.
Of course mate. Believe what you want but everyone with any sense knows that even if we had won the league last year, Cesc wouldn't have left with legendary status.
I think if Cesc stayed for 2-3 more years, fully commited, then he would have left a legend whether we won anything or not.
Does it matter what 'status' he leaves with? I've been watching Arsenal for well over 20 years now and he's one of the very best footballers we've had in that time. Right up there with all of the so-called legends.
Pepe is a great defender.

I suppose it does when we are discussing club legends.
Think what you want Capi, but 4 or 5 more trophies for Cesc and 4 or 5 less for Vieira and we wouldn´t be having this discussion.
Legend. 😆
He was a fantastic player who played for us for a bunch of years. That's it. Same for Henry, Vieira, Adams etc.

People were winning trophies at Arsenal long before Wenger mate and there are many of them who will never be considered legends despite their longevity, success or quality.
I know what we have won and not won Capi. I am a grown up after all, not just a 20 something year old kid.
Didn't say you were, but you did say that Wenger had raised the bar in terms of expectation hence my statement.
Cesc is leaving a bit young, not having spent his prime with us. Despite that he would have been seen as a legend had he left with a couple of trophies under his belt. Make no mistake.
Lads, legend is just a label. It means nothing.
In 40-50 years people will talking about Henry like they do about Bastin and Alex James now. That's what it means.
To you maybe. To somebody else it'll mean something entirely different.
They would be wrong in that case. 😆
Cesc is one of the best 3 or 4 players I've ever seen wear the shirt, and he has given me some of my best memories in football over the last few years - he's a legend in my eyes, but I agree the actual term means very little. He was a great player, that's what's important.
Hours before I pop my cloggs I shall look back and think that the players who meant most to me were adams, wright, vieira, henry, pires, sol, and joel campbell
