I don't think they do.
Most recognise that Cesc was exceptional in this regard.
That's why people refer to the Cesc shaped hole in our midfield.

Theo is an athlete not a "quality" player, the fact that we count Theo as one of our stars is symptomatic of how low we have fallen as a club, why the few players of real quality are abandoning ship and why we won't win anything for a long time!

Any player who can put up the numbers Theo did last season in the EPL is a quality player.

Barcelona were on Sunday claiming they will only have to pay €14.5 million up front, with a further €14.5 million to be paid in October. It is then understood that €1 million will be released for each year of a contract that lasts until 2016.

Providing Fàbregas wins one European Cup and two La Liga titles over the next five years, Arsenal will receive a further €6 million. This takes the potential overall fee to €40 million (£35 million).

i know we're going to collection that last €6m over the next 5 years, but I sure do wish we never see any of that money.

Agree with this.

We as fans don´t even believe in Wenger anymore, so why should Fabregas? Or Nasri for that matter? Think about this as well: IF you don´t believe in Wenger and his abilities anymore - why would you NOT think, as a player, that Wenger could be here for another decade? He could, and I shudder at the thought of it.

For us as fans it really is quite easy to bare since our "career" as fans can last for decades and decades. As a player your career is short. I know I wouldn´t want to squander it at a place where I thought I couldn´t achieve my goals.

Instead of Wenger moaning about losing Cesc and Nasri he should start thinking about what he can do to keep RVP and Theo to believe in him and the team. He has less than a year. If not, I feel certain we will be in the exact same situation 11 months from now.

Transposing what we fans believe about Wenger onto Cesc as a reason for his leaving ignores the fact that the only reason he stayed another season was because of Wenger.

He wants to play for Barca - full stop.
We'd have to provide success on their level to compete and unfortunately no other club in Europe can at the moment.

Yes we're in a state, but that's not the sole reason he's gone and it's certainly not the key reason.

Cesc is one of the best players that this club has ever had. It's a shame he didn't win more in his time here, but I sympathize with his desire to go home, and to play for what might be the best football side in history.

He always gave his best for us, treated us with respect and played some mesmerizing football.

Wish him the best of luck, except when playing us of course, and to me he's always welcome back.

Come on. He has expressed several times how hard it has been for him to see his friends winning stuff while he isn´t. Sure, Fabregas would have gone back to Barcelona one day regardless. However, had we been competitive and picking up the odd trophy here and there I believe there is every chance he wouldn´t have felt that he just HAD to get out.

I just don't assume that he feels precisely the same way about the situation as we do.
