Nothing at all.
Just seems like there were very real riots (not looting) in Hackney and my hunch is that much of the police presence was based there last night but there is no footage and relatively little reporting of it. Instead we are getting blanket coverage of teenagers smashing shop windows.

I suppose, in essence, that is the point that I'm making.
I wouldn't like to commit completely to that idea without better knowledge of exactly what happened but, having watched the news for almost 16 hours, I do find the reporting to be bizarre.

Just seen one of the big wigs for the Met on TV said they only use water cannons for dividing crowds to allow them move through, that it doesn't stop the riot. He also said rubber bullets haven't been used in Britain for 30 years or something. Said most of the commentators looking for those kind of measures and completely misinformed and that they know what they're doing.

I just want to watch. I'm not stupid enough to go in, I'm banned from Primark.”
