there is no reason why we couldnt extend van persie, sign podolski and another top class player this summer with hardly any net expenditure. of course, we are sitting on a mountain of cash and could upgrade the team even further if we actually wanted to. debt is not an issue at all - it couldn't be further from the truth. the debt is the source of our immense spending power (which we don't use).
anyone who thinks otherwise has been conditioned or brainwashed to think so by 7 yrs of club propaganda and deluded fanboy-ism ("we dont buy stars, we make them", "we're the club that gives youth a chance", "we're the only club making a profit", "wenger's the best because he has a positive net transfer balance"). either that, or you should be freaking out because you essentially believe that 95% of the top teams across europe are about to go bankrupt and cease to exist any day now.
