I'm afraid I don't take it so lightly. To me it's obvious we need to work on the assumption 4th is bust. The disgust with Terry lifting it...pfff, I can take it. There were enough lowlifes doing that, who cares. It's just us I'm worried about.

Just as I don't trust Bayern to do the job, I don't tryst city, or chelsea, or anyone, to do the job: we're equal on points with Newcastle, best of 3 games wins the only CL place. Throw in record, "what-have-I-got to lose attitude, Arteta, VP, Benarfa.

We should do it, I'm not saying we can't. I'm saying the Chelsea scenario odds have a real effect on the PL scene. "Shit just got real". One spot, and we don't have a head start (despite common atmosphere/belief).

Right now I'd love for city to win the Derby, though they are sickening - Newcastle game must be crucial for them.

Now, If Bayern do take care of business - bonus. Several of those actually, but still bonus. Not "according to plan".

Alan Davies made quite a good point on The Tuesday Club this week (think it was one of Keith's quotes). The difference between Chelsea and Arsenal is that Chelsea have an owner who wants to win the Champions League and Arsenal have an owner who has been to 2 games. Hard to argue with that.

I think he means that Abramovich is ambitious and wants to win the Champions League while our owner is just happy for us to come 4th each year

We all know that Chelsea have an owner who has been pumping them full with billions of pounds since he took over while Arsenal have been forced to live within their means. It's not about the amount of games they're attending.

Personally I think Kroenke will give Wenger more money than usual to spend this summer, I don't know who's in charge of how much money we spend but I assume since he's the owner that he'll have the last word.

Maybe it's wishful thinking but we might see a different approach to transfers this summer.

It was a little rant, by Keith, no need to take it literally.

But the wider point being made was that Chelsea (and half a dozen teams) are hell of a lot more ambitious and it's frustrating.

It's bullshit.

They spent on players, managers, wages in order to compete.

We spent on a stadium and infrastructure in order to compete.

Both teams have shown equal ambition through different methods.
