When we get him our attacking option is set next season, just need to learn to defend.
p.s. fuck Robin van Pussy
Not really a winger, more like a right-sided midfielder (or left? can't remember). Tracks back a lot.
Well, I'm glad someone said it.
Given what our needs are now, i'd definitely take him, but I won't pretend to have seen much to suggest that the 'better than Silva / Mata' stuff is anything more than hyperbole.

Possibly. This is a most unlikely signing though. There's almost no reason for him to want to come here. Malaga Got billionaire owners like psg and City. He won't be coming here for the money, or the weather, or the opportunity to play alongside Ramsey.. And trophy potential is about even..
Not an expert on him, but I'd guessed that if he was better than both Mata and Silva he'd have forced them down the pecking order in the Spanish setup by now 🙂 Doesn't matter if he's not quiet at their level he's far better that who we have currently available in that area. I take the Arteta experience of last season as proof that not quite good enough to break into the Spanish squad is not an indication of averageness.
He's ahead of Mata.
Hopefully we get to see evidence of that this season then. After Silva, Mata was the most creative player in the league last season.

Malaga are in serious trouble though financially. They have neither made full payments to players nor clubs they owed money to for transfers, reportedly. They have a week to make these payments else they will lose their Champions League place. It is not unlikely that they cash in on their most expensive signing and one of their best players - 9 goals and 8 assists last season in 34 appearances.
There's every reason for him to leave Malaga to come here. Economically Spain is on it's knees and needs a bailout in the region of 300 billion, as Rohit said Malaga can't even pay players wages. He's also said he wants to come here.
Thing is, their owner can pay it tomorrow if he feels like it, so I wouldn't rely on them needing cash.

I just meant in relation to the Spain squad, not necessarily their relative quality.
Ah, right.
In relation to Malaga and their finances - the fact that they allowed a situation to arise wherein players went without wages, despite having an owner wealthy enough to pay them, would be reason enough for any player to want out?
I'm sure quite a few players will want out, but the key issue is that Malaga don't necessarily have to sell.
Cazorla is 27, Im sure he would want to play for a bigger club than Malaga. He probably thought they would spend Man City money when he joined them
Did they edit last nights Guardian article? Says we have agreed terms with the player http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jul/23/arsenal-santi-cazorla-malaga?CMP=twt_gu
They often change the headline on the internet version after it's been published.
It was edited this morning.
Getting excited about this one now. This would be a proper star signing.
Its guys like Carzola, Podolski, Giroud that we should have been signing for years.
Hmmmm. Tying really hard not to get too excited about this 🙂 , but it's ridiculously quiet at work today so I've got little to distract me. Plus I've convinced myself it's happening.
This one clearly has legs. People yesterday getting very excited over Wenger's "never heard of him" comment 😆
