Okay.

I don't think it would hinge on Walcott; Cazorla is generally a wide player. Looking at the numbers, we're losing Arshavin and Benayoun so we're short there.

I don't think it 'hinges' on Walcott any more than Van Persie's departure does on the signings of Podolski and Giroud ... more in the way of insurance perhaps.

Reckon just as Grimandi said, we've aimed to cover ourselves in advance of the tougher negotiations this summer. We can cut our losses on the wantaways pretending to be torn.

With Oxlade-Chamberlain and Podolski looking like wide options who will be in the first team squad, and Wenger's habitual practice of tossing the likes of Ramsey and Rosicky out there, I'm just not sure we're short in his eyes.

Wonder if he sees ryo as an option wide for this year

Anyways, back to cazorla. If we get him I'd fancy us to get our attacking verve back and we could be a real dark horse for the title

He's too Spanish for that in my opinion, will need a season like Silva.

Will look nice and get plaudits but his overall impact will be limited.

If we get him it'll reverse the spin on Van Persie's ambition bollocks. If we got him and Robin stayed we'd definitely be a minor threat.

He's also shorter than Arshavin. It's your worse nightmare.

is he? Can't tell if yous tacking the mickey.

I've never particularly liked Cazorla, but he's highly rated by many.

Good player who I would rather sign than nobody because we are short, but I'm not overly fussed.

Seriously, by an inch or two.

He is a real midget alright.

He's 5"6.
Captain I thought you rated him highly?
Paralleled him with Mata?

I said that he was ahead of Mata in the Spain squad, in terms of the pecking order.

Cazorla is comfortably better than Mata.

I disagree. Cazorla is a 90 minute player. He's involved in everything, he likes to dictate, shoot, dribble, create and defend. One thing he would give us that Fabregas lacked is work ethic and appetite to defend. Very much suited to Spain's pressing system and was unfortunate not to play more of an important role in the euros having been a regular presence during the qualifiers.

He's not touted as the best player outside Madrid and Barcelona for no reason.

That's fine. He's still a very Spanish player, if we sign him, we'll see.

Doesn't mean anything to be fair.

Mata is much more of a forward than Cazorla. Very different players.

I'd rather Cazorla in my team than Mata.

Cazorla is quite like Banega when playing deeper. Love that kind of player

Watched a few of his all-touch comps playing for Spain and he looks a class act. Terrific close control and vision. Only ever watched him playing for Malaga when they were up against the big 2 and he stood out even then. Seems a real talent.

Can he play winger for us? I think his best position is through the middle nowadays. He lost abit of pace after his season long injury

We mean business with a big transfer? Well I never...

🙂 we're not Wengering them.
€23m is a nose bleeding sum for Arsene

He really is a midget! Just waiting for the first pics of him alongside der Mertersacker.

Another pint sized little Spanish cunt.....5th place here we come.

Bah- It'll never happen anyway.

Its the grinch who stole transfer season

Change in ownership has no bearing if the player wants to leave. The day City were brought by the sheikh they lost their best defender at the time Vedran Corluka.

Hmmm...makes me think that Cazorla has been readily available from the get go. In other words, this isn't us taking advantage of their financial crisis, rather them making it known that he can be bought for a decent fee.

The entity is in financial crisis......

Sheikh Malaga remains unsolved economic problem of the entity.

😆
Gibberish translation but understandable.

Definitely strengthens our hand.
I know I'm assuming a lot in believing that Cazorla is dying to leave that situation, but surely this should strengthen his resolve?
We cannot mess this one up.

Can they still sell us Cazorla while they're negotiating the sale of their club? Who handles the transfers?

Arsene Wenger expects to complete the club record club record £15million transfer of Santi Cazorla by Tuesday.

Though Malaga are holding out for £20m Arsenal hope a debt deadline imposed on the financially-stricken Spanish club will seal the deal.

Arsenal have been hampered by the lack of an authoritative figure to deal with at Malaga, but with the player now set on a move and Qatari negotiators flying in this weekend, there is hope the deal can be concluded swiftly.

Oo my, this is really happening 🙂🙂
