Okay.

I don't think it would hinge on Walcott; Cazorla is generally a wide player. Looking at the numbers, we're losing Arshavin and Benayoun so we're short there.

I don't think it 'hinges' on Walcott any more than Van Persie's departure does on the signings of Podolski and Giroud ... more in the way of insurance perhaps.

Reckon just as Grimandi said, we've aimed to cover ourselves in advance of the tougher negotiations this summer. We can cut our losses on the wantaways pretending to be torn.

With Oxlade-Chamberlain and Podolski looking like wide options who will be in the first team squad, and Wenger's habitual practice of tossing the likes of Ramsey and Rosicky out there, I'm just not sure we're short in his eyes.

Anyways, back to cazorla. If we get him I'd fancy us to get our attacking verve back and we could be a real dark horse for the title

He's too Spanish for that in my opinion, will need a season like Silva.

Will look nice and get plaudits but his overall impact will be limited.

If we get him it'll reverse the spin on Van Persie's ambition bollocks. If we got him and Robin stayed we'd definitely be a minor threat.

I've never particularly liked Cazorla, but he's highly rated by many.

I said that he was ahead of Mata in the Spain squad, in terms of the pecking order.

I disagree. Cazorla is a 90 minute player. He's involved in everything, he likes to dictate, shoot, dribble, create and defend. One thing he would give us that Fabregas lacked is work ethic and appetite to defend. Very much suited to Spain's pressing system and was unfortunate not to play more of an important role in the euros having been a regular presence during the qualifiers.

He's not touted as the best player outside Madrid and Barcelona for no reason.

That's fine. He's still a very Spanish player, if we sign him, we'll see.

Mata is much more of a forward than Cazorla. Very different players.

I'd rather Cazorla in my team than Mata.

Cazorla is quite like Banega when playing deeper. Love that kind of player
