He just seems so right - age, skill set, experience.

I really hope this happens, i don't think our interest and it's seriousness can be doubted.

gah this potential signing has gotten under my skin in the last 24 hours. he's pretty much the best we could ask as far as available quality AMs go.

i'm going to have lie down and cup of tea.

If I were a betting man, I'd say Malaga end up standing firm on this one.

Actually, I am a betting man...

Arteta on Cazorla

"I cannot talk about the actual situation but I can say that I know him as a player really well.
"And he's a top, top player. He has got unbelievable quality and talent and that is all I can say."

"I share the opinion of Mikel Arteta. Cazorla is a great player," said Wenger.
"We bought Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski but we are not at the end of the transfers. We will still bring players in."

Mmm hmm 🙂

I'm not sure the Malaga situation is quite as simple as some make out. I can't believe that their billionaire owner would let things get as bad as they have only to swoop in at the last minute and fix everything. Time will tell I guess.

He doesn't have to fix everything - he just has to pay their wages & refuse our offer.

The owner recently tweeted a picture of a racehorse he owns and quipped "worth more than any footballer".
Think the suggestion doing the rounds is that he's bored with his Malaga toy and is none too keen on paying the tax debt (or the players wages 🙂).

He also has to settle other debts otherwise they could face relegation among other things.

And what if Carzola still wants to leave, which I'm fairly certain he would?

He'd be mad not to want to leave that setup.
Why would anyone want to stay at a club where it's not certain that wages will be paid at the end of each week?
Not much point in having a contract agreeing a big fat salary when you have to take action against your employer to force him to honour that contract.

And pay debts owed to other clubs and their tax bill. Apparently Hierro left because the club is a shambles top to bottom.

Certainly not saying this shiekh geezer won't sort their problems out at the last minute, billionaires are sometimes a little whacky like that, but it still begs the question why let things get this messed up in the first place.

It's the tax debt and the money owed on the transfers that is the issue. Wages were sorted according to reports last week or whenever it was.

that deleted quote... such cockteases

No worries, we'll get it done as soon as Gazidis is back from his two week holiday...

Cazorla has been left out of the Malaga squad for their pre-season tour to Venezuela.

Could be because of him being part of the Spain Euro squad but i'd like to believe it is because he is destined to move here 🙂

God I hate this. Miss the days when the first time you hear about a new signing is when he's holding the shirt.

He doesn't have to sort all that out - all he has to do is decide that selling Cazorla isn't part of the solution.
