Pretty much this. I love Freddie for what he has done for us, but if positions switched everyone would be praising Nasri sky high in the invincible team. Nasri in terms of footballing skills is far superior to Freddie imo, but the former has some vital flaws in his game that is stopping him from being even better.

Not that I care though, if he don't sign a new contract and leave on a free I will hate him as much as I hate Flamini.

The Sun claims that Nasri will DEFINITELY NOT sign a new deal and has rejected 115,000 pounds a week. If their sources are good and it's true, then we should just sell him. I advocated keeping him if it was the case that he might be interested to stay if we gave him the No. 10 role or if we brough in one or two superstars who can help. If he just wants out, then it means we are definitely giving away money we don't have by not selling him now.

I don't want to contemplate a summer where we sell both Nasri and Fabregas. It would be a disaster. Unthinkable 6 months ago.

We can sell Fabregas and Nasri, then bring in, for example, Mata and Rossi.
The question for us though is how do we make sure we aren't in the same boat in 2 years time, cussing out our stars? Those who think financial fair play will help are kidding themselves. We desperately need to start taking risks to make the club generate more money to fund an investment in a winning squad. Otherwise, we will forever be stuck in this role of providing 'transit' for stars-in-the-making

Not going to happen though is it. Cesc wants gone, it's a matter of time, we both know it. Nasri leaving is not good, who knows whether we'll be able to even get Mata and even then whether he'll be up to it right away?

If we lose those two we will have a lot of making up to do to the fans. There's no way the club will get away with it without spending at least the majority of the £60M+ we'll bring in.

The Fabregas situation has the potential to be cancerous. I'm really concerned about it and wonder to what extent it has caused the Nasri situation.
As much as we are annoyed by Nasri, imagine this scenario. Fabregas sits him down some time late last season and says "i will push a move to Barca this summer". Nasri asks Wenger if we are going to buy some stars and Wenger says something about Oxlade and Vermaelen coming back. In that case, Nasri is smart to want to leave

You can't dig yourself a £20m hole just because Cesc wants to go. An besides, Cesc is by far the better, more proven player, and, most importantly, under contract for a whole lot longer.

If Nasri wants to go, we have literally no choice but to sell. That's not the case with Cesc.

Oh you know what, I'm just falling into the trap of frustration again.

Ideally, we keep both, but our situation just feels so precarious. If only we had someone in charge who could move quickly and decisively, not such a bunch of dithering cretins.

Nasri needs to be sold to the highest bidder or to a club outside England, i don't think i would want to hear his name sung anymore.

That money needs to be reinvested in the squad but these changes need to happen quickly. We are just 3 weeks away from the most difficult start to a season that i can remember since i started following the club.

Modric has sent in a transfer request, used the press to know his dissatisfaction at not being allowed to move and Tottenham have done rather well to hold out for more than £35 Million.

If Tottenham gets that fee for Modric i will be pretty upset if we got only £40 Million for Fabregas with 3 years left on his contract.

This is the by far the worst summer.
