That´s not the issue here though. He deserves 110k per week if there are several other clubs willing to pay him that. Supply and demand, end of.

If 110k per week is making him the highest earner, then we clearly have a few players that are underpaid. In fairness, we already know that. That will correct itself in the not so distant future.

Some of you seem incapable of understanding the obvious: There are clubs out there willing to pay Nasri 110k per week. I highly doubt there are any clubs interested in paying the likes of Sagna, or Song that kind of money. Why should we then?

I didn't say what money he is worth or what anyone else is. Their worth is what somebody will pay them. No more, no less.

I said that he doesn't deserve to be our highest earner and I stand by it.

Agree with that. Of course up to those better than Nasri to get better deals when it´s time for them to negotiate new deals.

The Sunday Times say Nasri has agreed terms on a £185k a week contract at Man City. Fee to be agreed between clubs, we're asking for £25m.

A player who gets a £185 k / week contract should be going for much more than £25m, even in the last year of his contract. Senseless story until I see us pull the trigger.

Not that I believe it, but why would his contract at his new club have anything to do with what we sell him for?

He'd be one of the top 5 earning players in the world's richest league. If that team values him enough to make him part of that elite, then we should squeeze them. Plus this isn't a case of a player we are actively chasing away like Adebayor. We should hold out for more and get mad money if we are interested in selling him.

What you are proposing makes no sense. His contract makes it a buyer's market and if the top bid is £25m then that is the price.

He can cock right off as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know the inner workings of his negotiations, but it's got to the stage now where he's lost the fans, in the same way Ade did, which will then put him under immense pressure even if he does stay. £25m, and move on.

He hasn´t said anything stupid like Ade did time and again. As far as I am concerned Nasri hasn´t done much wrong. Just pay the man his 110k per week and THEN we can move on.

It doesn't matter so much whether or not he's said anything at this stage, I don't think.

He's been cast as a mercenary, and if he stays and delivers anything less than spectacular results, he'll get it in the neck. Better for him to just move on now - bridges already burned.

Indeed, just like Fabregas we have reached the schwerpunkt, we'll tolerate him so long as he's delivering, his first slip up or hint that he's putting in less than 100% and he may as well just leave.

As I just said over on A-M, if the report in The Times is even remotely true, is anyone here advocating us paying Nasri anything like 180K a week to keep him, or to turn down the offer of £25M at this stage?

It's moot Ricky. We won't pay him that.

We'll force him to stay for a season or sell him if those are his demands.
