the fat lesbian wont sign until he has assurances the club will offload denilson, bendtner and almunia.

If only it were that simple!

Nah, I think there is something really special about this kid and he has shown a positive trajectory. If you think Nasri pre-Porto and Nasri post-Porto, you see a player who has come a long way. If you look at what he did before January, he is the closest thing in this league to a Messi-type player. Obviously, he's not that caliber, but his ability to make things for himself is valuble and we need to find ways for him to exploit more often and more consistently

It's nothing that hasn't been done by Reyes and Arshavin before, particularly the latter.

For my money, Hleb was a much better player during his time here too.

Hleb for me was a bench player, to be brought off if we needed to protect a lead due to his amazing ability to hold the ball and careful distribution. However, as a forward, he lacked impact as a scorer and provider of the final ball.

reyes was at least as good for us as nasri has been, probably better.

Reyes had a lot of promise but nothing came of it. I had high hopes for that boy. He had that Lebron James (lack of) heart that stopped him from being a great Gooner

We won't let that happen.

If he doesn't sign, we'll sell him.

He wasn't played as a forward at his time here though so don't see your point. He was by far much better than Nasri and was more involved in the majority of play. He was never a bench player too. I am also inclined to think Reyes was far better if you weigh in his contributions when he was here.

Hleb (and Klaus will agree) for me was an annoying anaemic sickly looking cunt who made Diaby look like a snappy 1-2 pass and move player, he couldn't score in a brothel with a fistful of $50 notes and I hated him before it was fashionable.
It came as no surprise to me that he pulled a Cashly on us, I was delighted he ended up at Birmingham and even more delighted when he was injured and missed probably the only trophy they will ever win for another 50 years.

Hleb -the way his socks looked on his puny legs, that used to irritate me.
I know - completely irrelevant in this thread

He had his uses and was effective when playing alongside Cesc who I believe made him look twice the player that he actually is.

I read yesterday that Chelsea had a bid rejected for Modric . United are also still in the search for a creative attacking mid.

Again, I think we are underestimating how difficult it would be to replace Nasri with a player of like skills, and who would bed into the team, and the premiership asap.

Indeed.

There's so much talk about Nasri's contract, but what's the deal with Clichy? Are we even negotiating with him?

Well that's because we probably aren't that interested in keeping Clichy.

Or rather because Clichy's agent isn't a loud mouthed, conniving buffoon.

Clichy has always been classy and respectful. And I appreciate him for that. But I honestly don't think we're that interested in keeping him.

Maybe, maybe not but it will definitely be Nasri's agent feeding stories every other week linking him to x club and others about the negotiations.

(that's an akward sentence if I've ever seen one. Just about passes for english)

Do you really believe that?

Nasri's agent is a bit of a toad and unfortunately it looks as if Nasri has handed all business and negotiations over to him.

Is there a football agent that's likeable for the fans?

I've yet to see one.

if nasri's playing the goat, tell him to fuck off cos we need the money for cover eto'o's and de rossi's wages

Yeah, I think it just about passed for english.

I think those quotes were taken from Arsenal magazine.

I hate british sports journalists. This is why we can't have nice things.

Hmm. Nasri is being somewhat disingenuous.
He fuelled many of those rumours himself because of how he responded to some direct questions (during that TF1 interview) regarding his future at Arsenal and United's interest.

I'd give anyone the benefit of the doubt but I've watched that interview a few times and his demeanour and attitude reinforced whatever doubts I had about his commitment to staying here.

It does irk me when players talk to the media and subsequently complain about rumours and misrepresentation.

Seeing his lady makes me not feel sorry for the man at all.

doesnt he date that butch tennis player?

Butch indeed...
