It's surreal. I have the flashbacks from Old Trafford in my head and it seems like a very drunken night out gone wrong.
Didn't even know Hargreaves had signed for City, have a funny feeling he's going to do much better than people are expecting.

Quite emotional people on this site.
I would have taken a gamble on Hargreaves for a pay as you play deal.
It'd be hilarious if Hargreaves managed to stay fit for City
Spurs have signed Scott Parker.
Officially confirmed.
good.
I can't believe Spurs turned down £40M for Modric. Absolute madness. Levy is an egotistical moron. Awful, awful move. He will leave for, at best, half that next summer, off the back of an, at best, average season.
Depends on what you doing ricky. Running a business, or running a football club.
It could be ego, but it could also be him refusing to be brow beaten and trying to build a squad around his best player, which I respect.
£40M for that little rat's a travesty when you consider what we got for Cesc with years and years left on his contract. Take the money and run you're already missing the CL anyway.
Pleased crouch left em
Crouch joined Stoke. I keep hearing commentator voices 'Delap to Crouch and goaaaaaaaaal" in my head.
Happy we have Mertesacker.
Shit. Delap to Crouch has to be worth 3 or 4 goals against us doesn't it?

Modric has made it clear to all their fans his position - his season will not go particularly well.
That 40m would have opened the oppprtunity of so many good players to them. Anyway, as an Arsenal fan I'm delighted they turned it down. It was silly money.
Didn't realise Spurs had signed Souleymane Coulibaly - quite a coup for them, from what I gather.

Spot on. Every Spurs fan I know is disgusted with how their window went. The papers are praising Levy while the fans are all raging at him.
£40 million for Modric is silly money. Should have sold no question.
That's probably the equivalent of us turning down something like £28 million for Sagna when Sagna has made it clear he wants to leave. Crazy.
In basic terms, that would have more or less bought them all of our signings this entire window.
Ridiculous money compared to what we got for a much superior player as initial fee.
Here's a few reasons why Levy would reject 40 million pounds
1) Arsenal are floundering and Liverpool are still gelling. If Spurs settle down, get past Modric unhappiness (a biggish if), then they have an opportunity to challenge for 4th again.
2) Selling your biggest player unsettles the other players.
3) Selling your biggest player also invites teams to come looking at your other players. The sum of these last two points could potentially lead to vd Vaart and Bale angling to leave in the next 2 windows.
40m pounds is a lot of money, but if you don't have competent replacements in mind, then it's 40 million utterly useless pounds
I maintain that you really should take a deal like that for a player like that who's that desperate to leave.
Spuds could've had 35m for him six weeks ago and been happily splashing it on the players who really might keep them there or thereabouts as far as 4th is concerned.
I think there is some value in resisting in their case, particularly given our impending demise. It's worth risking 20m in transfer value if it means you have a player who can put you in the Champions League.
If a team other than Barcelona had offered us 50m pounds for Fabregas, I'd have wanted us to turn it down. Even 60m pounds.
