Adebayor to Spurs seems to have been made official:
Ade's a good option for them, sadly - though he will spend the second half of the season flirting with bigger clubs.
Pffff. He'll have an amazing first month with them, get bored and revert to lazy Ade, and then, as Burnwinter says, spend the rest of his time there trying to engineer his next move.
Why would Adebayor want to play for a set of fans that racially abused him so openly? Strange move.
West Ham confirm they are in talks with Spurs over the sale of Scott Parker. Player and club fit in this case, guess that means they probably aren't getting Lass Diarra.

Gregory Van Der Wiel has tweeted on his official twitter account that he's on a plane to London this morning. If it's transfer related 90% sure it'll be to Chelsea.
Hope spurs get Joe cole

Not at all. Man for man we're better than them in nearly every position even if they sign those 2.
Ricky1985 wrote:Why would Adebayor want to play for a set of fans that racially abused him so openly? Strange move.
It'll be funny to see the same morons who racially abused him sing his name.
It's not money, obviously, as he'd be earning the same if he just sat at City.
IT is an odd move though.
Talking about racial abuse, Eto'o is going to Dagestan
Money always wins.
it's not money with Adebayor. he's an outcast at Citeh. apparently, Mancini makes the dropped players train separately from the rest of the team.
Adebayor just has to look at the Spurs line-up and know he will be a massive improvement on Crouch. only sensible thing for him to do really
he's got a chance to finish 4th with them.
the eto'o thing is just bizarre, though. he doesnt need the money. this team apparently trains in moscow, 1000 miles away from their home stadium. eto'o may continue to live in milan and be flown in on the owner's private jet.
Sigh.
Either we hijack that deal or every single person at Arsenal who has been even remotely involved in our transfer dealings can go fuck themselves. Fucking Santon is going for five fucking million and we're stuck with three fullbacks that wouldn't get a game for Swansea.
Wenger Claims there are 20 people working on transfers at/for Arsenal. Where are they looking?
Β£5m, can play both sides and is just a year older than Jenkinson. This is as bad as not signing Vidal.

Seriously though, what the hell is wrong with our team of 20 that are supposedly working around the clock on potential signings?
Either they are hamstrung by the financial restraints that have been placed upon them by those higher up the chain or they're completely useless.
Apart from van Persie does anybody working at the club realise that we're in crisis?
What's it going to take to get them to part with whatever money is needed to get us a CB, MF and LB.
No room for dragging our heels and haggling now.
I'd sack the lot of them.
Incompetents.

really makes you wonder wtf is going on.
i didn't watch inter a lot last season, but santon was brilliant two years ago. surely he is better than traore and jenkinson? (gibbs doesn't even count).
Caligula wrote:Wenger Claims there are 20 people working on transfers at/for Arsenal. Where are they looking?
and who the fuck are they? seriously, have we outsourced our negotiation team to an indian call centre as part of our cost-cutting end game? youd think so judging by our strike rate during this window.
go and watch glengarry glenross. always be closing you sorry pack of faceless, empty suit cunts

He has to be. Santon was still recovering from a knee injury last season and struggled to get a game so he was loaned out to Cesena for the latter half. I didn't watch him either but rumour has it that he did pretty well. The quality is undoubtedly there though. We're talking about someone who kept Maicon out of the team at the age of eighteen. I'd like to see anyone claim with a straight face that Jenkinson is a better investment in any way, shape or form.
Traore is going QPR. We absolutely must be in for a fulback.

Wenger probably would....
"..he will have an impact and you will fight for him not to play for Finland.β
βWe were watching Carl for some time and he is a player with great talent and natural defensive ability, but also a powerful player who likes to go forward.
βHe is a strong defender who has made quick progress with Charlton and also with the younger age categories for the Finland national team, showing many great qualities"
He may be all of those things at some stage in the future (if playing in our current set-up us doesn't wreck him first) but he's certainly not showing any of those qualities right now.
He needs a long spell in the CC team, maybe some time out on loan, but don't insult us by having him as the only back-up for Sagna.
Come to think of it I'd be insulted if I were Sagna too.

Or we're signing Cahill and are going to use Vermaelen as left back cover.
Seriously that can't be true, 5m for Santon to Newcastle and we are not in for him. He is definitely better than Jenkinson, Traore and prolly Gibbs as well
Why are Inter letting him go?
I'm seriously like this right now. Wenger and that clusterfuck of a board better have something lined up...

Only at Arsenal β’

I'm preparing for deadline day mayhem.
:\
Or carnage.
Pepe LeFrits wrote:Why are Inter letting him go?
They prefer veteran players and he has stalled there.
Inter signed Nagatomo on a permanent transfer earlier this summer. Same Nagatomo that Wenger included in his best XI of the last World Cup but never made a move for. He cost them β¬5.6 million.
Wenger should leave management and stick to punditry. It amazes me how he always comments positively on the stars of the moment yet rarely goes for them
who's better, santon or santos? is santon more likely to be hanging out with gibbs at the treatment table?
still pissed we didnt get vidal, as i'm not sure where we could've gotten a better CM at a normal price. if we passed on that cos wenger deluded himself into thinking fabregas would stay, then fuck him.
all these deals shouldve been done weeks ago, and 8-2 should never have happened.
Jack van Gercott wrote:Wenger should leave management and stick to punditry. It amazes me how he always comments positively on the stars of the moment yet rarely goes for them
Wenger knows all of the good players and he also knows that our team hasn't been good enough for years. Working out the reason as to why he doesn't do anything about it is how we come to waste so much time on here.

Imagine Cesc and Nasri left early, we would have gotten Vidal.
Santos is definitely better at the moment, but very different defender. One is an all out attacking LB, one is a normal young one with talent. Would have preferred Nagatomo though.
fulham agree Β£10.6m fee with fc twente for bryan ruiz
kamikaze wrote:all these deals shouldve been done weeks ago, and 8-2 should never have happened.
In the long run, 8-2 will be a benefit to us. There will be greater scrutiny on team management and tactics. Wenger can no longer hide behind his 15 year Champs League streak. He better get it done today, or I'm spending my weekends playing dodgeball
8 fucking 2. Fucking hell. I sill can't fully take that in.
Ricky1985 wrote:8 fucking 2. Fucking hell. I sill can't fully take that in.
It's so hard to take that result in - it's one of those memories that's really confusing as hits you on waking in the morning.
For a few seconds or more you can almost believe it didn't happen.
