Gregory Van Der Wiel has tweeted on his official twitter account that he's on a plane to London this morning. If it's transfer related 90% sure it'll be to Chelsea.

Either they are hamstrung by the financial restraints that have been placed upon them by those higher up the chain or they're completely useless.

i didn't watch inter a lot last season, but santon was brilliant two years ago. surely he is better than traore and jenkinson? (gibbs doesn't even count).

He has to be. Santon was still recovering from a knee injury last season and struggled to get a game so he was loaned out to Cesena for the latter half. I didn't watch him either but rumour has it that he did pretty well. The quality is undoubtedly there though. We're talking about someone who kept Maicon out of the team at the age of eighteen. I'd like to see anyone claim with a straight face that Jenkinson is a better investment in any way, shape or form.

Traore is going QPR. We absolutely must be in for a fulback.

He may be all of those things at some stage in the future (if playing in our current set-up us doesn't wreck him first) but he's certainly not showing any of those qualities right now.

He needs a long spell in the CC team, maybe some time out on loan, but don't insult us by having him as the only back-up for Sagna.

all these deals shouldve been done weeks ago, and 8-2 should never have happened.

Wenger knows all of the good players and he also knows that our team hasn't been good enough for years. Working out the reason as to why he doesn't do anything about it is how we come to waste so much time on here.

Imagine Cesc and Nasri left early, we would have gotten Vidal.

Santos is definitely better at the moment, but very different defender. One is an all out attacking LB, one is a normal young one with talent. Would have preferred Nagatomo though.

In the long run, 8-2 will be a benefit to us. There will be greater scrutiny on team management and tactics. Wenger can no longer hide behind his 15 year Champs League streak. He better get it done today, or I'm spending my weekends playing dodgeball
