Levy certainly seems like a tough negotiator but he has little to do with what Madrid will end up paying for Bale. It isn't as if they were willing to pay £50 Million - £60 Million and he got them to up it to £85 Million, the most expensive transfer in the history of football. It has way more to do with the English media.
That said, I agree, we were probably soft in negotiating fees for some of our players we have sold in the last few seasons.
