Can't find any sources for this, but apparently Geert Wilders has questioned the Gareth Bale transfer in Dutch Parliament. He said something along the lines of "Real Madrid owe a ton of money to some Spanish bank that the EU bailed out (partially with Dutch money). So why is the Netherlands sanctioning Gareth Bale's transfer?"
