Qs I was just thinking the same thing......
Didn't some guy in Japan try to steal a Boeing 747 and was mystified why he couldn't as he'd "learned" to fly one on MS flight simulator?
That was hilarious.
united rumoured to have bid 8 mill for varane. dont dick about with defence do they
Been watching Henderson during the U-21 championship and he looked like a bad version of Denilson. If the reports of a 20m fee are correct Sunderland just won the fucking lottery.

Not like they're signing Thiago Silva or something. They've signed a very talented player in Jones and are trying to get an 18 year old from France.
If Rio misses a third of the season, which is very likely, they've got the choice between a 19 year old, a 21 year old, or maybe this Varanne kid to partner Vidic.
For what it's worth, Smalling looked a much better player than Jones in the U21s.
I thought Evans looked a prospect a couple of season's ago but he will likely be tossed aside now. It's an interesting parallel to someone like Senderos for us.
Jones reads the game much, much, much better than Smalling. Smalling is more pleasing on the eye.
Smalling looked great at the u21s

Read the game all you want; means fuck all if you are getting shown up by average players. Right now, on the evidence available, Smalling is the better player.
That is true, but Jones isn't far behind. I would say the quality between them in minimal and Jones is only 18
Do you think they look at the level guys like rio and nesta were when they came onto the scene?
Allegedly Spurs are willing to pay £17 million for Cahill.

Spurs needs a CB more than we do. Wouldn't be surprised if they pushed hard on the Cahill front. They might also find themselves sitting on a bag-load of cash from selling Modric to Chelsea or United.

No, I don't think so.

same here. it's weird what happens to those guys.
I wonder if getting a Lusophone coach was an important consideration for Chelsea as they pursue Neymar, or if the Villas-Boas appointment was largely independent of plans to secure the Brazilian starlet
