there is a large contingent that will never put him above jordan. jordan was 6-0 in the finals and to unseat him, lebron would need at least 2 more titles, which probably isnt going to happen.
like 20 pages ago, i included him in my top 10, and i think hes got a compelling case for top 5 right now.

i think if there is a player who rivals jordan for #1 its chamberlain, given that he basically forced the NBA to change the rules and the fundamental way the game was played because of how dominant he was. i think russell obviously goes ahead of lebron/bird/magic because he won freaking 11 titles in 13 years. part of that was the team, obviously, but there is no denying his ability.
