You're probably right but the head injuries that have come to light in recent years tend to come from the small, repeated helmet-to-helmet collisions. A wide reciever may take one or two big hits during the game but they'll get taken out of the game after it to get checked on. The feeling is that for the linemen, those small concussions that add up over time is just seen as part of the job and they are expected to shake them off.

Interesting fact: Once upon a time when a group of rugby players managed to kick the ball away and couldn't find it, they realized they were just standing in the middle of a field and absolutely nothing was happening. They called it cricket. 🙂

Holy shit, what a fucking awesome player is Virat Kohli right now. Ponting's audacity married with bevan's unerring finishing while chasing. Unreal , unbelievable. Uneven pitch, injured batting partner, Aussie opposition -nothing stops him. Lionel Messi of cricket..easily.

Always England. England cricket is my other big sporting passion with Arsenal. That was awesome, big win against probably the best team of the tournament so far. Didn't expect to go through after the loss to West Indies let alone make the final.

Just shows how quickly things can change in this form of the game. With Munro and Williamson they looked on for close to 200 but only just made 150 once we got them. Worried about a collapse for a minute after Roy and Morgan went but we have a strong batting lineup here.

Always enjoy seeing McClenaghan (who I went to school with) get belted too.
