Pretty devastating to lose when it should have been in the bag like that, but can still be encouraged about the future of our limited overs teams for now. It was only a year ago we went out of the World Cup in humiliation. To have played such good cricket in all formats over the last year as been a rapid turnaround.

Stokes got clobbered , just put the ball in the wrong places. Seen Carlos Brathwaite hit them in local cricket so not surprised by the power but to do it on the big stage is fantastic.

I'd pick the Bulls, easily, even with the current rules much favoring the Warriors. Most importantly, they had a peak Michael Jordan. Secondly, which gets talked about less, is that Jordan, Pippen and Rodman were absolutely top class defenders; that's like having three Kawhi Leonards at the same time. The Bulls' starters would have to play heavy minutes though, because the Warriors is a much deeper side.
If the series was being called using the 95/96 rules, I reckon the Bulls would sweep this current Warriors side.

theyre playing the spurs twice in the last 5 games. id really like to see coach pop be a savage and spoil their 72-10 attempt and really fuck with their heads going into the playoffs. knowing pop he'll probably just rest his stars though

He will certainly rest players. I think it was important for Popovich and the Spurs to beat the Warriors the other week to instill belief into the Spurs and send a message to the Warriors, and Pop coached the shit out of that game. Now, he is all about going into the playoffs healthy. With Golden State losing at home to the Celtics the other day too, I think it is even less important to Popovich, because the Warriors are no longer undefeated at home.

He may not necessarily rest players for those games though I should add.

I think, like you said, he got what he wanted by beating them and he knows they are the best team so i feel he will not want to show his cards.
Not an expert but, whatever he does, i think the warriors (Steph, in particular) have redefined NBA basketball and will win regardless.

IMO Popovich showed his cards in the game a few weeks ago. That was a playoff type game, and I believe Popovich showed exactly how he intends to try to stop the Dubs' back court, should they cross paths in the playoffs.
Honestly, I think that game will prove more important for the Warriors; it has given Kerr a few weeks to try to figure out how to counter that.

Thinking about it, now that the Warriors can't go undefeated at home anymore, I think Pop may have that in the back of his mind for his own team.

overreaction much? I've watched nba for 20 years and it's common parlance, usually as a term of endearment/respect for a well-known coach. Didn't intend it to be such an affront to your sensibilities
