What makes Griffin dunks so wonderful is the force with which they are executed. Reminds me a lot of "The Reign Man" Shawn Kemp. That was another 6'10" guy who dunked with authority.

Look at dunk no 5. He shakes hands with the guy he just posterized.

That right there Capi is the problem for me with these 6.10+ guys dunking. They are so tall it isn´t really pretty. Jordan, Kobe, Carter - those guys all had/have unbelievable ups.

Oh and Cali - it is Rain man. Makes a lot of sense too since Kemp is as retarded as they come. Think he has like 6 or 7 illegitimate kids with different mothers. This guy was virtually broke at the height of his career due to him paying huge sums of money for his kids. Tool. 😆

Only time I ever watch American 'football' is the Superbowl. Don't like the sport much but the Superbowl can be interesting to watch so I watched from halfway through the 3rd quarter. I don't know an awful lot about the sport or the players but I gather there are 2 Manning brothers and every time I watch the Superbowl it seems like 1 of them is the winner!

Maybe it's just my limited understanding of the sport but I cannot get my head around the tactic of the Patriots letting the Giants have that touchdown at the end so they could get possession of the ball 1 more time. Surely when your hanging onto a small lead with 1 minute to go you want to hold them out don't you? Especially when you have to go the full length of the field to score, which they failed to do. Also it seemed like the Giants player didn't really want to score and tried to stop himself falling over the goal line but it was too late by the time he realised. Again, with 1 minute to go surely you want to score rather than try and wait a few more seconds don't you? Found that whole thing bizarre really.

It was all about clock management mate. Patriots knew that if they held the Giants out of the endzone, that a field goal would have been enough for them to win the game, and NYG would've just ran the clock down until that point. In allowing NYG to get the TD, it at least put the ball in the hands of one of the best ever quarterbacks, with a minute left and two timeouts. They would have never have had a chance of winning if they hadn't have done that. Bradshaw only realised at the last second what was happening, and couldn't get down on the one yard line to effectively end the game.

Anyway, fucking called a Giants win at the beginning of the Playoffs, and that Mario Manningham would be the man. Lovely.

Prior to the game it was a toss up as to who would win, although Pats were given the line - 3 points. In fact, all week many analysts, football pundits picked the Giants...So it came as no surprise that they pulled it off in 4th quarter, but pretty exciting way to do it...

Sad part for Brady was his receivers let him down...But it doesn't take away from his all time great status...If only his receivers had caught a couple more, if only Gronkowski was not limited...

Eli Manning and the Giant defense reinforced their positions as 4th quarter big play players...

Kudos to Coach Coughlin and his staff, all the players...
They understand what it means to be in situation that may not come by again...And they did the job....Not like a PL team I know...

Makes sense I guess James but I still don't buy letting the opposition score. Is there no chance that by holding them out, the Giants could have dropped the ball given the pressure, or the kicker facing the biggest moment of his life could have slipped or shanked it? Or the guy holding the ball for the kick could have messed that up? Is it not possible to block a kick like you could a drop goal in rugby for instance? Genuine questions as I honestly don't know.

I actually don't find it a bad game and quite like the tactical and strategic side of it but it just takes so fucking long so I just can't bring myself to watch more of it than about half the Superbowl each year. The timeouts and ads annoy me too much and I find myself pulling my hair out when they do 1 play then there's another 5 minutes of ads and it takes 10 minutes to get through 2 minutes of the game. Just annoys me too much that a 1 hour game takes 4 hours and you have to effectively give up your whole day to it to watch a game. If it could be played in 90 minutes to 2 hours I reckon I could get into it a bit more.

The Giants would run the clock and then kick the equivalent of an extra point (distance wise) to win the game. It's a numbers game.

League wide, 99.4% of extra points were made this year. The Giants were 45 for 45.

According to the NFL win probability stat, the Pats had a 4% chance to win when they got the ball back.

The Giants gave the Pats a 25-1 chance to win, when they could have made it a 199-1 chance.

I think getting the score was a good decision...If Bradshaw had not fallen in for the touchdown, there was always that possibility of a fumble...Take the points, and let the defense stop Brady...Tuck's sack was huge on the next series of downs pushing the Pats further back...
The Giants played 4th quarter Giant football, after Brady completed 16 passes and he and Pats went for 17 straight points...
A great game from the drama standpoint, a thrilling 4th quarter, and the game being decided in the last couple of minutes...

Couldn't agree more. The Giants could have dropped the ball in the next play then it was game over the other way.
