Trossard and Jesus out with only Tzolis in feels like going backwards for an already not great attack. Jesus can come off the bench in the cup games and still give us a decent performance as a third choice.

He can leave on a free next season - assuming no-one bids a decent fee for him.

Claudius Trouble is the cat has skinned us, or rather we skinned ourselves in trying to skin it. I can't think too ill of Jesus but he'll surely be remembered as an enormous disappointment of our hopes for him at Arsenal. I'm hoping we can move him on so I can forget about him more of the time.

Coombs I haven't said Arsenal are being flippant with his career. I think so far things have been fine with him and things rarely match up with twitter bullshit about him. Just a shame we signed Noni ahead of him as Noni is not good enough.

Elite is a severe over exaggeration. He was good at City, and he started off good for us before his injuries. But i would never call him 'elite'. That word is used for players like Vini, Mpbappe, Kvara, Haaland, even people like Aguero. Jesus was never in that camp. But he was good-to-very good at one point.

Klaus I never rated him either and I think he's been an overall terrible signing for us but he's also dropped his level in an insane way I don't really believe its just the injuries. Even his purple patch at the start has been extremely overrated as time goes by. He start well for about 6 weeks, levelled out, got injured and has been a disaster since.

USArsenal yeah he wasn't elite when he came in he had a history of injuries and City had to manage that and he wanted to be a striker but wasn't prolific. Neither of those factors changed and we overpaid on wages big time but we were in a very weak position at the time.

This. He was brought in when we were trying to get into the top 4 again, and he (along with players like Zinny and Tierney, etc) helped us accomplish that. But they are never the players that get you over the top. They get you more 'toward' the top, but then they need to be replaced by true difference makers.

But to be fair to Jesus, he stuck around long enough that he was able to collect another Prem medal, even though he didn't contribute THAT much to it.

It's definitely time to move on, but my hope is that with time we'll remember his peaks (which were great, albeit short) more so than his floor. He joined alongside Arteta and I appreciate that he was mission driven (time to make Arsenal win). Perhaps that was a cope from him as to why he wasn't prioritized at Man City anymore, and what opportunities existed for him. But I'd rather that stance than the far too often "phone it in" approach players make when moving down a level.
