I think I originally predicted we’d win around round 36. Better late than never.

That City transfer window almost denied us our right. The last throw of the dice by football’s most grandiose manager ever. And we won. Credit to our players and managers for having the strength to keep getting up after being knocked down. And to persevere through all the doubts from fans and vitriol from opposing fans and pundits. Even Monday night’s ESPN FC was mostly focused on the Havertz tackle. They’ve never given us credit. Just a few like Rooney, Mourinho, Bent. We could fill several steins with their sweet tears.

My vote has been correct since this thread opened because I'm not a faint-hearted hand-wringer like some of you, but I've gotta say my faith has been tested since I cast it. Today we are all brothers and sisters and fans in mighty Arsenal, seriously ... love to all people of the Arsenal persuasion on this wonderful day. Fucking come on!

I was one of a handful who always felt we were going to win. Even after dreadful and depressing results, I expected City to continue to drop points too. In particular, I always felt we were deeper, more committed, and more resilient than they were. I always felt the "bottlers" accusation was completely off base, and that it was City who were more mentally fragile than our group. A bunch of fucking warriors we have.

Fuck it, the more I think about it, the more I think the CL final is a once in a life time unique opportunity we can win especially with the backdrop of momentum.

All Arsenal starting players and whoever contributes as subs would automatically turn into legends and there would be zero debate around it.

Out of Saliba/Gabriel to replace Kolo. I think Gabriel is a beast when it comes to set pieces and putting his body on the line but as a pure CB Saliba is something else. We went man for man against City and left Saliba to deal with Haaland and he dealt with him, not many CBs could be trusted to that. Well you could trust Sol to that as well!

The only debatable ones are Timber and Raya. Lehmann's best form came for us in later years, people forget he was so good he benched Oliver Kahn and then delivered for Germany on top. 03/04 he was decent but nowhere near his top form. I think Lauren possibly better at going forward but Timber is an absolute beast defensively.

Loved Freddie but Saka is the heartbeat of this team. Also love Gilberto but Rice is on his way to legendary status for this club and midfielders in general.

Rest of them don't need any explanation I think!
