Claudius Trust the process. Was clear this team was doing the right things on and off the field.
Thing is, that's not quite it.
We've been trusting the process for the past three seasons without winning anything, including being an action away from winning two seasons ago, and only two actions away from not winning this season.
Actuarial inference is metaphysically unreliable. This victory has never been perfectly guaranteed by the process or Arteta, and the next victory still isn't. Trust has to remain partly inconsistent with facts, faith-based or grounded in some affirmations ... for example that there is nobody and there's no way better ... that themselves have no final ground.
In this light, the distinction between the Artetarational and the Artetasexual appears. It lies in the capacity of the latter for an implicit ethical acknowledgement of the necessity of these affirmations, and of the uncertain agonism of Arsenal's trajectory ... the ethic of "get behind the fucking team".
The Artetarational, however right hindsight proves their claims, continues to cloak this necessary faith in less evidently spiritualised values such as those of "the right things on and off the field" and thus earns less credit by all along having put less "skin in the game".
