In that case, instead of scape goating Martinelli on a night when there were plenty worse, you should be thanking him for being a mastermind for saving the club from having to play those two FA Cup games that will prevent us from winning the league.

Don't even think Dowman was our best attacking player. Dowman was good but I thought Odegaard was better. Martinelli was pretty good too. I don't get the hate. The attack in general seemed fine for the most part. The big "negative" takeaway is that you can see exactly why Rice and Zubimendi get all of the minutes and Norgaard gets none. The big difference between this game and games with our first team was that ee were pretty open in the defensive midfield area.

As if at this point in the season, playing the 2 games needed to win the FA Cup will prevent us from winning the league. If so we should have dropped out in the 3rd round, or better yet not even registered to take part.

We have no business going out of the Cup with a semi final place on the line to Sputhampton. Absolutely no way. But yeah, if it makes you feel better to say it's good we're out then feel free to think whatever you want.

Qwiss this team has a very fragile mentality as it is and the pressure will ramp up on them for sure. We free scoring games bad easily get nervy. This team has a lot to prove for me.

This is why I just don't have faith in this team when it comes the the crunch we have too many players who don't do enough when it counts. Yes we rotated but the level of some of the players is way off what's needed. If City haven't been great our lowest levels outdo them. Whatever about the fixtures we have wet can put this in easily so I don't fancy our "easier"run. It still feels we need city to win it for us by dropping points because i don't trust us to get the results right now.

If we dont get our attack in order and put these chances away , we will drop more than enough points to allow City to win the league. We absolutely cannot drop points against Bournemouth , we are not winning the CL so the league has to be a priority.

All of the passes. Particularly when he orchestrated one of the only periods of having 25 minutes camped in the final third that we've had basically all season.

DiabyKungFu yeah Odegaard was bright. We had good possession and territory with him pulling the strings. Got into good positions often. He combined well with Dowman. He’s probably our second best performer on the day even if wasn’t a classic performance.

Sorry if it came across as that. Wasn't my intention. Probably just the frustration boiling over.

Anyway, I disagree. His passing, apart from a long ball to Martinelli, was his usual short layoffs to the guy standing besides him. The one attempted through-ball I can remember was so hilariously over-hit it didn't even make me sad.

I'd have taken him scoring that relatively easy chance instead of all that 25minutes of camping.

Maybe I am too harsh on him, but I really can't stand his game. Arteta was probably right to make him the captain because his game sums up the entire team- a lot of hustle and bustle, fancy stuff here and there, but when it comes to the final pass or shot, too scared to take it or just fluffs his lines in spectacular fashion.
