I’ve just turned it off but caught the Southampton celebrations.
Fair play to them, that’s the magic of the FA Cup. It might not bring the money or the glamour of the Champions League but it’s a beautiful competition and in a way I’m glad a team has gone through who value it. We clearly didn’t. The manager, the team, and large sections of the fanbase don’t either value or want to be there enough, so let them have their night. Good on you Southampton, and they did it in style as well. Can’t even claim they’re one of these new fangled teams who have suddenly just learned to defend deep this year as they gave us more problems than we gave them.
