Can't say I agree our run in is harder than City's. They've got Chelsea away next week which I think will be alot tougher for them due to not winning tonight and then Everton away. Brentford won't be a foregone I don't think. Bournemouth more than capable of an upset too. I actually think we'll turn Newcastle over convincingly at home this time round and when you take that game out of the equation, Man City itself aside (although if they haven't closed the gap before then I'm not fearing that one too much either) I'm not overly concerned about the rest tbh.

GooneriC those are good games. We don’t play a big 6 side apart from Man City. Burnley at home second last game of the season you couldn’t ask for a better game.

The only issue is Newcastle because that could be played mid-week if we progress to the FA cup semi final and Newcastle would have a rested weekend.

Bournemouth wouldn’t have played in 3 weeks when they face us whilst we have two games post international break before we face them.

Would give us another line to add to the Ole Ole Ole chant, that's for sure. Maybe not technically because we'd still need another point even if City lose to Chelsea and we win against whoever we play next, but in every sense but mathematically we'd have won it at their ground if we do.

CPM — it’s a game I’ll definitely make it to a pub for. All the others can be enjoyed at home until they’re truly title deciding.

But a win vs Man City would be iconic as it would clearly decide the title.

9 points and +7 GD ahead of City with 7 fixtures left to play, and they have one extra in hand.

Assume the worst case about two things: they win their fixture in hand and they beat us at the Etihad.

Then we can win the league if we can drop no more than 3 points and +4 GD on them over the other 6 fixtures.

We've been in this situation before and City achieved a perfect record of wins. Now that's effectively what they'd need to do to beat us to the title. But since they have done it before … it's far from over.

I fear Arteta will play the city game with an extra handbrake on. He'll see a loss as unbearable but a draw would be a good point. We're not going there guns blazing with Arteta at the helm

By the way, the extra few days city gets without Champions League matches shouldn't be underestimated. Their result today was partially due to fatigue from Madrid trip, they were tired by the end

tazmania True, but if we beat them in the Carabao, morale will be pretty low too. I think it's ours now, the question is how hard we're gonna make it for ourselves getting over the finish line.

The best indication of what City will do next is what City has done recently. They aren’t closing out the season with 8 wins. I would predict around 4 wins 3 draws and a loss - and probably worse as they lose the title in around 5 games.

Indeed I don't know why people are still so apprehensive. They have zero form and zero confidence at the moment, while we have been consistently eking wins out all season even while playing "poorly"

For me the league is over, its how many cherries are we putting on top of it that's in question at this stage

Because we're not jinxy pricks and we remember City's 9 consecutive wins to finish the league that was just 24 months ago.

Only fear for me is about our next loss.
I’m not as worried about actually losing in the League Cup or the Champions League as I am about the aftermath. I just hope a knockout doesn't shatter the team’s confidence and bleed into our league form. We need to be able to bounce back immediately
