daredevil It boggles my mind that people survived being 8th and stomached it - but absolutely lost their shit at finishing 2nd. Ok - finishing 2nd 4 x times but that's still only been bettered by two clubs in the league.

Most people on here know I've been probably one of Arteta's biggest critics ever since that abysmal run of like 3 wins in 15 PL games at the start of 20/21, but even I won't quit watching us, especially for finishing 2nd.
I'll deffo continue watching the club. Even if Arteta is given another 5 years with no trophies to show for it. Even if we continue to play in a drab, constipated, panic filled fashion. Even if we drop back down to mid table.
Is it an addiction? A mental illnes? Are we just masochists? Who knows, and call it whatever you like, but most of us have it and I just can't help myself. Might end up watching games begrudgingly, maybe even in anger, but I'll still watch. And honestly, I reckon most Arsenal fans, especially those who have grown up with us in the early 2000s and earlier, will continue to do so.
