Qwiss Yeah I understand where the price is coming from, I'm just saying there's a big mismatch between his market value and what he contributes on the pitch. If we want to have continuous success I feel we need to think more in terms of quality and less in terms of a good transfer deal. 20 million is nothing anyway: it's half of what we'll waste on the next Lokonga or Vieira who won't have any impact whatsoever. The biggest football benefit for us lies in keeping Trossard for another 12-24 months while we're adding some new blood. Let this new player try and take the spot rather than being given it.

Klaus I also understand potentially wanting to move him on but he is in the top attacking players who actually effect games for us and I don't think we have replacements right now so we can't afford to let him go nothing lined up that we can be confident in.

Would not sell unless he is pushing hard for it or we get a good price. I can get why he might want to move, his last big contract but we also can't leave ourselves short.

RowJimmy That's my feeling too. He'd be mad to push for a move at this stage to be honest. The next 24 months is where he'll win all the silverware that'll canonize him once his career is over.

Ray Twitter claims that we have agreed a deal at 8 + 7-15M add-ons. Madness of a fee if true. Almost makes Diomande’s fee seem reasonable. Wouldn’t this fee have been better allocated to someone like Kroupi who is younger, better technically and perhaps better serves our needs.
