Personally, I'd be much happier if Rogers was the upgrade on Trossard, Tzolis was the replacement for Jesus and then we either focus on an upgrade for Martinelli or just keep him for the Champions League and the few games where we need his pace on the left.
I don't think Kroupi is going anywhere this summer so I've stopped thinking about him as a possibility. I still think we should be in the picture for Diomande, even at the inflated price he's going to go for. I like him more than Barcola and think he would add another dimension to our attack on the left. We are at the point in the project where we can overpay for pieces we need and we need to think like that.
The biggest improvement we can make to our attack this summer is getting a fit Havertz back next year and being able to rest Saka to get him fit by midseason. I'm confident in our depth of Noni and Dowman to give Saka some extended rest at the start of the season and hope that Arteta is willing to take that stand. If we had those two firing in the second half of next year, along with Rogers and our attacking depth, I think we will be just fine.
I'd love a madness but we just won the title and took the best team in Europe to penalties in the Champions League final with a team that is collectively still pretty young and that was wrecked with injuries for large swaths of the season. I don't think we need major surgery on the squad and I'd be fine keeping guys on the margins like White and Norgaard as long as we were confident they can play a part in squad rotation. 1-2 more impact attackers and a genuine Rice backup would be the minimum we need this summer and I think we will do it.
